Last week I had the honor of working with Red Bull for their 3 on 3 Fiba qualifier event in Detroit. It was a great event and all the teams grinded hard for the chance to play for Team USA in the Olympics. This past weekend, my girlfriend and I had the opportunity to photograph a beautifully restored farmhouse near Marshall, MI. We were hired by the architect who drew up the plans for the restoration, but the owner graciously opened up his home and even let us camp on his land. The result was a full weekend of exploring the photographic possibilities of the house, the barns and the surrounding land and nature. It was a wonderful experience and I am happy with the results we were able to achieve.

On Monday I had the privilege of traveling to Carbondale, Il to view the totality of the solar eclipse. Even though traffic was absolutely horrible, it was a once in a lifetime experience which I will never forget. Here are some of the images below. The other evening a thunderstorm rolled through Southeast Michigan and I stepped outside before it began raining to try and capture an image of the lightning. While I would have loved to have something more interesting in the foreground, my neighborhood only offers so much and the lightning was mostly happening directly overhead. My best image is below. Settings were F8, 8 second exposure iso 400 Canon 5d mark iii with a 16-35 2.8 L IS USM version iii.
